What Others Are Saying

Mike with Blues Artist of the Year, Mike Zito.

What Others Are Saying

What do you get when you have someone, (Mike) who started out promoting concerts in their late teens, managing bands, then playing in bands for 30+ years and then being inducted in The International Blues Hall of Fame as a Great Blues Artist from the state of Kansas with their first album? Well, this is what others are saying

I love these cats. I love Pastor Mike and the Demon Slayer Blues Band and you will to. - Bobby Rush, Blues Hall of Fame and Grammy Award Winner.

Wow! I wasn't expecting this to be this good. - Jack Jansen, Blues Radio

Mike you are a lyrical genius! …. Got goose bumps all over from that love song, (Wings of Eagles.) - David Gray, Blues Artist

Your lyrics are so straight forward and honest, straight from the heart, … Cuts right to the bone. Into the Fire is going to be a big hit, has a deep "hook" having me wanting more of it - Steve Morse

You're a great artist, this has such a deep honest projection of emotions, most artists can't reach that far. - Steve Morse

I recently had the pleasure of listening to the new release by Pastor Mike and the Demon Slayer Blues Band. From the very first song to the last note of the very last song it is filled with feeling and raw emotion. My favorite songs on this CD are Trail of Tears and the final song Country Nights which is a fun country tune. There is everything from Country to Blues to songs that have a good Old Timey feel. This is certain to become a regular in my rotation of music. Look forward to hearing more. - Bruce Fry, Blues Hall of Fame Member from Pennsylvania

This album has at least 3 big time hits on it. - William Jackson, Radio USA

Gorgeous I love It. - Bill Glover, Founding Member of Petra

Your vocals are amazing, I'm really impressed. - Janice Sharp, Country Music Performer

This is one thought provoking, extremely well written project. - Jennifer Henderson,

Quality, this whole thing is nothing but quality. - Liverpool Blues

What a solid band, from drumming to those fantastic guitar licks and your vocals. - Hank Franklin, performer

I’ve met a lot of great talent in Kansas, and a lot of real passion...unfortunately not a ton of people have a history with music...you have a history, experience, you been marinating in the deep rooted soul of music...I could hear it and taste it. - Samuel Connelly

I absolutely love the variety of this, not a boring moment on it. - Brian Head, performer

influences of Dylan, Charlie Daniels, Grateful Dead and Johnny Cash and The Band. I really enjoyed hearing wonderful slide and lead guitar work along with solid keyboard and drum tracks. - Jan Hatfield, Wichita KS.

Lyrically thoughtful and imaginative. I knew you guys were pretty good, here's proof. - Steve Carl

Love the style and rawness of this, cool,…. feel good, real original music. - Blues Hall of Fame Member, Eddie Biggun Day, West Virginia

A good album with some really good songs on it. You can tell you (Mike) really put your heart and soul into this album. - Bruce Fry, Blues Hall of Fame Bass Player
